I came across this oil on best olive oils.com, from “The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.” Since I’m partial to California oils, I decided to give the Chef's Blend a try. Delicious! Initial fruit, followed by bitter, ending peppery. This is my special oil, not for cooking, but for dressings, or poured on the pizza we had last night, just before serving. Ordering was easy, and the owners were friendly and responsive. I’m looking forward to trying the other blends.
I love the flavor and freshness of this olive oil. The opaque bag should help to keep the oil’s freshness from being impacted by light, as can happen with glass bottles. However, dispensing a small quantity of oil from the push-button spigot is hard to control. I think I would prefer an opaque glass bottle.
Have had Spanish, Italian, & Greek olive oils. Your oil beats them all. My daughter & granddaughters loved it with balsamic & parmigiana.
I use olive oil as a part of my healthy diet and have tried all kinds. I was intrigued by the packaging and the benefits of being “extra fresh” and after receiving it found the package very innovative and appreciated the benefits of no-light and no-air helping to keep freshness and it worked! The olive oil was SO delicious—the value is worth it and I’ll be buying in bulk like this going forward.
Ever since we began to use it (2014, as I recall) the La Panza Olive oil has been a staple. Every salad gets a dose (even if other dressings are to be added), every vegetable and rice dish, every soup serving, too. It’s wonderful to dash over left overs before reheating, too!
